Two established accountancy practices acquired by professional services business

Professional services firm, Xeinadin, has acquired two accountancy practices in the North.
It has taken over Gibson Booth Ltd formerly a member of Gibson Booth association of independent firms and King Hope.
Gibson Booth is established in Barnsley, while King Hope has offices in Northallerton, Darlington and Hartlepool.
The move is designed to strengthen Xeinadin’s presence in the North bringing its total number of offices in the region to 16.
Gibson Booth will now be known as the Xeinadin Barnsley office. Gibson Booth in Huddersfield and Gibson Booth Business Solutions and Insolvency Limited in Barnsley will continue to practice as independent entities.
Derry Crowley, CEO of Xeinadin, said: “Bringing Gibson Booth and King Hope into the fold is an exciting moment for the whole team and positions Xeinadin as a key player in the North.
“Our growth strategy is focused on being that trusted partner to local businesses and maximising the opportunities for SMEs, especially during tougher socio-economic times.
“Developing a strong local presence in the North demonstrates our passion for supporting local businesses.
“We look forward to working closely with both businesses to collectively deliver personalised, future-focused tax and business advice to local businesses.”
The integration is intended to bolster Xeinadin’s offering in the agricultural, charity and education sectors and offer local SMEs access to additional resources and expertise that can support larger growth.
Joining Xeinadin, the two general practice firms will gain additional resources, including centralised back-office support and the power of a collaborative network of offices across the UK and Ireland.
Robert Watson, managing director at Gibson Booth, said: “We are pleased to announce a new chapter in the journey of Gibson Booth and are thrilled to be joining Xeinadin.
“As part of Xeinadin, we will continue to deliver outstanding services to local clients across Yorkshire, now with the added support and resources of one of the leading professional services firms in the UK and Ireland.”
Steve Gardner, director at King Hope, added: “We are pleased to join a national firm that, like us, is committed to providing a personal service to owner managed businesses with a focus on maintaining a local approach.”
