A New Vision delivered for Sheffield Based Manufacturer STAUFF

STAUFF UK, a global manufacturer of Hydraulic and Fluid Power Components, recognised the need to upgrade their meeting and breakout spaces to better support their employees and enhance workplace engagement. They turned to Yorkshire based Switch Workplace Interiors to create a modern and inspiring environment, blending functionality, flexibility, and collaboration.

The project, completed in late 2024, saw the transformation of aged meeting spaces and canteen facilities into a fully integrated, multi-purpose hub. With carefully considered design and the expertise of fit-out partner CRS Interiors, the result is a space that not only meets operational needs but also enhances the employee experience.

Reimagining the Meeting & Social Experience

The centrepiece of the project was the creation of a versatile meeting suite. A once underutilised meeting room has been reconfigured into three distinct spaces: a 20-person boardroom, an 8-person meeting room, and a 6-person meeting space. A folding wall allows the two smaller rooms to merge into a larger, adaptable meeting area, providing STAUFF with flexibility for different team and client interactions.

Here at STAUFF UK Ltd we had identified a need to bring our meeting room areas and our business canteen up to new modern standards.

“Several companies were then brought in to discuss our dream with us, and we are certain that we selected the correct partner in Switch Interiors.

“Not only did switch understand our desires but also helped develop our concept further into what is now a fantastic, modern, functioning and welcoming new break out area and meeting rooms.

Beyond meetings, Switch Workplace Interiors focused on enhancing collaboration and social engagement. The new breakout area now includes a custom-designed darts zone, featuring bespoke acoustic dividers and integrated branding, as well as AV-equipped entertainment areas with ceiling-hung speakers and digital screens. The design encourages interaction and provides employees with a comfortable space to unwind and recharge.

The canteen was also completely reimagined into a work café-style environment, supporting both focused and social working styles. A mix of banquette seating, high tables, bar stools, and dining benches creates a space where employees can connect in a relaxed setting. A fully integrated kitchen, set within a bespoke slatted-panel surround with instant hot water tap technology, to reduce the amount of boiled kettles therefore assisting the company’s environmental policy. The kitchen  leads onto a tiled outdoor terrace, complete with a variety of seating options to maximise usability throughout the year.

This collaborative approach meant STUAFF benefited from a cohesive design and build solution, transforming their space with minimal disruption.
