With more than 20 years’ experience in property and housebuilding, Russ has held senior leadership roles across both the public and private sectors in Yorkshire and the North East. Before joining Banks Group in 2023, he was managing director of Taylor Wimpey’s North East business.

Today, Russ is responsible for driving the growth of Banks Group’s property and housebuilding operations, overseeing residential development, strategic land opportunities and long-term investment across the region.

As the industry grapples with planning delays, housing targets, rising development costs and the challenge of unlocking land for new homes, Russ will share his perspective on the opportunities and obstacles facing developers – and what needs to change to accelerate delivery.
