Graduate pledge by Klinger UK

KLINGER UK, the Yorkshire industrial gaskets specialist, has revealed plans to recruit 10 new graduates as part of its 10 year growth plan.
Bradford-based Klinger UK is to take on more engineering talent as part of its graduate training programme with the Universities of Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds.
The company has recruited more than 20 graduates over the past 15 years and now aims to increase that intake and recruit 10 graduates over the next five years.
Alan Bates, managing director of Klinger UK, said: “Our dedicated quality, technical and commercial team has been crucial to developing our thriving exports market for the oil and gas industry, which last year saw new markets developed in Kazakhstan, Baku, Nigeria, Angola, Libya and Qatar.
“We’ve also added new builds and refinery upgrades to a successful installation maintenance business and our technical team has been instrumental in providing quality control and safety training to our overseas project manager partners.”
With a turnover of £27m, the company supplies more than 2,000 customers across 40 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Far East and Australia.
Specialist industrial gaskets made by Klinger in its manufacturing centre at Bradford’s Euroway Industrial Estate are installed in on and offshore oil and gas rigs across the world, as well as in the aerospace and defence industry.
Meanwhile, the company is to invest £1m across two of its distribution centres.
The investments in Aberdeen and Runcorn will double the size of both bases and add emergency manufacturing facilities for both metal and soft gaskets.
