Yorkshire companies make awards shortlist

TALENTED property developers, builders and architects from across the region have been shortlisted for the Northern Design Awards.
Shortlisted companies will compete for the awards at The Chester Grosvenor Hotel & Spa on May 31, where the winners will be announced.
The awards will be featured in OK! Magazine and those who attend will get the opportunity to rub shoulders with stars such as Gemma Atkinson and Diarmuid Gavin.
The Northern Design Awards are the pinnacle of the Home & Garden Show which is being held at Chester Racecourse from May 30 to June 1.
Other Northern Design Awards are for interior and garden design. Garden and interior design gurus will be on hand at the Show for a consultation for members of the general public.
Nineteen companies have been short-listed for the six categories for the Property Awards, from more than 50 entrants;

Event Director Mandy White said: “We are delighted with the high standard of entrants for this year’s Awards, which looks to be the best year yet. We are asking people to attend the awards dinner to find out the winners, with a donation from the sale of each ticket given to official show charity the Teenage Cancer Trust.
“Designs will also be seen by our panel of judges, which is made up of leading industry professionals. Everyone who is short-listed will receive professional photographs of their work, written feedback from our judges and publicity.”
The Property Awards have been established for more than a decade and were founded to promote excellence in house building in the North of England.
