NI investment for Redhead

ROAD haulier Redhead International has invested in a significant expansion of its operation in Northern Ireland.

The Bradford-based business has opened a new 33,000 sq ft facility in Mallusk which includes a 20 ton crane, warehousing and new offices.

Mark Cosgrove, director of Ireland and Scotland for Redhead, said: “Whilst we have had this type of capability in Great Britain and Dublin for many years, the new Mallusk depot will allow us to offer customers in Northern Ireland a full package of managed logistics services, including third party office space, warehousing and order fulfilment.

“This exciting development represents a major seven figure investment in the company’s Northern Ireland infrastructure by Redhead’s board. The facility will be a valuable resource not only to the company, as we continue to develop our presence in Northern Ireland, but also, and more importantly, to local business that may be looking to grow their export markets.”

The new base was opened by Northern Ireland’s executive minister for regional development Danny Kennedy.

Redhead has had a presence in Northern Ireland since it opened its first office in Carrickfergus 21 years ago.
