TRANSPORT data software firm Tracsis has promoted two members of staff to its management board.
Andy Whawell and Steve Brown have made the step up.
Mr Brown has worked with Tracsis since joining the company via the acquisition of RWA Rail in 2008. Following his promotion, Mr Brown will take up the position of business development director.
Mr Whawell was operations director of MPEC Technology at the time of its acquisition by Tracsis in May 2011 and has continued to work as managing director of that division. He is now director of infrastructure services.
John McArthur, chief executive of Tracsis, said: “Steve and Andy have both been instrumental in our success in the past few years and their breadth of knowledge in the rail and infrastructure industries will continue to be of significant value to the group.”

THE company behind plans for a new potash mine in North Yorkshire has appointed a new commercial director.
Luke Jarvis will join Sirius Minerals next month from crop nutrients producer Agrium where he was UK and Ireland managing director.
His earlier career included a spell in commercial roles at Cleveland Potash, the operator of the Boulby potash mine.
Sirius chief executive Chris Fraser said: “I am absolutely delighted to announce Luke’s appointment to the Sirius team. Luke brings to Sirius a depth of experience, knowledge and relationships in the fertiliser industry that will be invaluable as we move to secure off take agreements with fertiliser distributers around the world to support financing of the York Potash Project.”
Mr Jarvis held his role at Agrium for five years having previously been UK and Ireland managing director at Helm Fertiliser.
He said: “With its unique polyhalite ore, the York Potash Project is well positioned to be a significant producer of multi-nutrient fertilisers and play an essential role in world food supply.
“I leave Agrium on good terms and hope that one day Sirius will be a key supplier to their plants worldwide.”
