Media Buzz: 10 Associates; Banana Kick; GoGo Social

WEST Yorkshire design and branding agency 10 Associates says it is on target to hit the £1m annual turnover milestone this year, nine years after launching.

The company’s profit is also set to increase by 25 per cent during 2013 against 2012 following a planned year of growth.

David Worthington, managing director of 10 Associates, said: “Over the past year, 10 Associates has gone on an amazing journey. To reach the £1m turnover milestone, as SME owners will appreciate, is a real achievement that the whole team is proud of.”

10 Associates currently employs 10 people in its Mirfield offices and has recently won branding and design work from national recruitment agency Rullion, Leeds Bradford Airport and Skipton Financial Services.

RICHARD Flaherty has been made a director at Banana Kick, the Leeds-based sports, leisure and experiential marketing agency.

His appointment comes after the agency has been commissioned to launch Resorts World Birmingham, a £150m integrated leisure complex at the NEC.

Gary McCall, co-owner, said “Richard was one of our first two employees when we started the business five years ago, his contribution to our success is recognised through this appointment to the board.”

VANGO, owner of some of the best known outdoor brands in the UK, has appointed GoGo Social to grow a community on Twitter and other social platforms.

The campaign has already seen a 30 per cent increase in followers and a significant uplift in website visits. The social media campaign has also driven more international enquiries.

DIGITAL marketing agency Squeeze Digital has been appointed by jewellery specialists Element Jewellery to help redevelop the business.

Based in Hebden Bridge, Element Jewellery offers a range of contemporary jewellery, including bespoke hand-made products, both online and in its boutique.

Last year, the business was badly affected by the floods in Hebden Bridge, leading to a complete store redesign as well as an evaluation of the existing business in order to build for the future.

Element have brought in Leeds-based Squeeze to undertake a full review of the online jewellery market and to help define the growth strategy for the online part of Element’s business. Squeeze has also been engaged for a full redevelopment of Element’s e-commerce site and a full SEO campaign.
