Surgical Innovations receives funding to boost industrial division

SPECIALIST medical equipment maker, Surgical Innovations Group, has received funding approval worth more than £210,000 to grow its industrial division.

The funding, with a “key” industrial partner, will be used to develop a bespoke solution for a device delivery system to be used in the on-wing inspection of jet engines – boosting the Leeds-based company’s industrial area.

This new funding stream will add revenues on top of its existing revenues in this division. 

Chief executive officer for Surgical Innovations, Graham Bowland, said: “I am delighted that we continue to develop this relationship with our key industrial partner.

“If the development project is successful, there is a good opportunity to roll-out a number of these devices in 2014.

“We continue to seek opportunities where SurgicaI Innovation’s intellectual property can be adapted to provide industrial solutions for major international companies.”
