Record sales for Harrogate Spring Water

WATER brand Harrogate Spring Water reported record sales last month, which it says it hopes to build on as it enters the peak summer period.

Posting 15% year on year growth for 2012 and gross sales of £1m for May, Harrogate Spring Water along with sister brand Thirsty Planet, supplies customers ranging from restaurants and hotels to airlines and supermarkets.

Owned and managed by The Water Brands Group, Harrogate Spring Water launched in 2002. Water Brands has continually reinvested in the business, and 2011 saw the launch of its own on-site microbiological testing laboratory and plans to further develop and extend the Harrogate site are in place for later this year.

Harrogate Spring Water also announced a new partnership with Leeds-based accountancy firm Mazars.

Managing Director James Cain said: “We have exciting plans in place to further strengthen Harrogate Spring’s position in the drinks market over the coming year and as a result have to ensure every aspect of the business has been optimised to deliver its full potential.

“One such area which we wished to review and make changes was that of accountancy and advisory support. Mazars’ partner Shaun Mullins and his team understand our business and our plans for growth.”
