Region’s restaurants added to prestigious guide

FIVE Yorkshire restaurants have been added to the 2009 Good Food Guide – published today.
Orchid Restaurant in Harrogate, Dawnay Arms in Newton on Ouse, El Gato Negro Tapas in Ripponden, Cricket Inn in Sheffield and Wensleydale Heifer in West Witton are the latest entries into the guide.
Orchid Restaurant impressed the editors with its innovative and exciting pan-Asian cooking.
The Dawnay Arms serves up high class pub food and El Gato Negro Tapas is complimented for its “proper tapas.”
The Cricket Inn was commended for its relaxed atmosphere, and Wensleydale Heifer was praised for its contemporary seafood.
Yorkshire now has 78 restaurants in The Guide including the Crab & Lobster in Thirsk, and the Magpie Café in Whitby.
