OneSubsea secures £65m BP deal

BP has awarded a £65m contract to Leeds-based manufacturing firm OneSubsea.

The contract is to help re-develop the Schiehallion and Loyal oil fields to the west of Shetland.

OneSubsea – a provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries – will manufacture subsea trees at the company’s West Yorkshire facility on Queen Street, Leeds.

The project to redevelop the fields, which are operated by BP on behalf of its partners, involves a new floating production, storage and offloading vessel and a major upgrade of the subsea infrastructure that will lie on the seabed. BP and its partners have now awarded over £1bn in contracts to UK-based companies.

OneSubsea is part of the Cameron and Schlumberger group, which has 24,000 employees at more than 250 locations around the world.
