Property appointments: Carter Jonas; Tate Consulting; B38

PROPERTY consultant Carter Jonas is expanding its commercial division with the appointment of Daniel Sherwood to the Leeds office.
The qualified chartered surveyor and registered valuer has joined the company’s northern commercial and development division from East Riding Council.
Sherwood, who has worked in the council’s valuation & estates department since 2009, has expertise in the valuation sector as well as development and agency matters.
At Carter Jonas he will handle valuation work, while assisting John Webster, head of commercial and development, and Ian Cartwright, who leads on residential land and new homes.

HARROGATE-based engineering and management consultancy Tate Consulting has appointed a former Delap and Waller board member as a partner to help shape its strategic direction.
Experienced chartered engineer Jim Lee joins Tate from the consulting engineering firm and has more than 30 years’ experience in planning, designing and managing building services projects.
Previous clients include Adobe, New York Stock Exchange, Apple, CITI, Marks & Spencer and Westfield.
Recent projects for which he has been responsible include the £200m Titanic Quarter development, the 28 storey Obel Tower; the tallest building in Ireland, the Liberty Shopping Mall in Bucharest and a new EMEA HQ office for Adobe.
Award winning projects include a new Public Records Office building in Titanic Quarter, winner of RIBA ACE & SIB Sustainability Awards
He arrives at a time when Tate Consulting is working with Asda to develop a five year strategy for reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions across their distribution network within the UK.

B38 Group, the nationwide property services company based in Wakefield, has announced that Alan Horton has joined the board as non-executive chairman.
Horton is the former CEO of the Evander Group and has more than 20 years experience of working at board level in the business service industry.
Richard Phillips, co-founder of B38, said: “The board are very much looking forward to working with Alan over the coming months and look forward to utilising his vast experience in the property sector to enhance both our brand and service delivery.”

THE Leeds office of national property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has expanded its property management team with the appointment of Mark Tredgett as assistant facilities manager.
Tredgett previously held roles as property manager at Allsop Residential Investment Management (ARIM) and LSI.
At ARIM he was responsible for the management of a portfolio in excess of 500 units.
David Williams, head of property management across the North, said: “The facilities management department has grown steadily over the last 24 months and we have developed a solid client base in Leeds. We are confident that Mark will be a great addition to our team and we are very pleased to have him on board.”
