Growth Hub launches smaller grants

BUSINESSES can now apply for smaller Growing the Humber Grants after an extra £1m was added to the fund as part of the Humber LEP Growth Hub.

The funding, which is part of £2.5m that was awarded by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund (RGF) for the Growth Hub as part of a bidding process run by Lancaster University, formed part of the Hull and Humber City Deal.

Businesses can now bid for amounts between £5,000 and £2.5m. Previously, the Growing the Humber funding started at £20,000.

To complement this, the Growth Hub working with the Acorn Fund will also be providing start-up grants for businesses up to the value of £5,000.

The online Growth Hub also goes live this week for beta testing, and is designed to help businesses to find what they need in the fastest possible time.
