PR, Marketing and HR Appointments: Online specialist joins firm and more

A round-up of the region’s PR, marketing and HR appointments.

DIGITAL Media Projects has appointed a new marketing manager.

Online marketing specialist Kristal Ireland has joined the Leeds-based Digital Media Projects team in the UK.

Her new role will see her promoting and expanding DMP’s range of high definition media server technology and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) platforms across the UK, Europe and America.

EVENT management company Wellpleased Events has appointed Gavin Newman as its commercial director.

Mr Newman will be based at Wellpleased’s head office in Leeds.

Previously the 41-year-old was events director at corporate event company Camp Hill, based in North Yorkshire. During his five years at Camp Hill, Mr Newman helped to diversify the company into new markets and developing profitable divisions.

Wellpleased Events specialises in event organisation, live communication and brand marketing for a wide range of national clients including GE Money, Lloyds TSB, Asda and KPMG.

Mr Newman said of his move: “I have not encountered such an energetic and enthusiastic team dedicated to bringing excellence into everything that they do. I am privileged to be part of this organisation.”
