Card Factory share sale nets £106m

CARD FACTORY’S private equity owner Charterhouse Funds has sold shares worth £106m in the Wakefield retailer.
It sold 40m shares at 265p, reducing its stake from 41.27% to 29.53%.
Card Factory was valued at £766m when it floated on the London Stock Exchange in May and its value has risen to just below £900m.
The firm, founded by husband and wife team Dean and Janet Hoyle in 1997, has more than 700 stores and plans to add a further 500 in the next decade.
