Genus Law continues its hiring spree

AMBITIOUS law firm Genus Law has continued its fast growth by appointing three more recruits from city rivals.
The Leeds-based firm is structured as a company rather than a partnership and positions itself as a challenger law firm that wants to disrupt the legal sector through a business-focused approach.
It announced three senior appointments in February and has added three more experienced solicitors to its team, which will enable the firm to offer intellectual property services and strengthen its employment team.
Emma Lowe joins after nine years at Gordons as senior intellectual property and dispute resolution solicitor. Former DLA Piper lawyer Sally Gwilliam is a senior employment solicitor in the team and she will be working with employment solicitor Mandy Walton, who recently joined from Chadwick Lawrence.
Genus Law’s chief executive Judit Petho said: “Our ability to attract highly skilled solicitors, many of whom have trained at silver circle and large national firms continues unabated. Strengthening our expertise to include IP is very important to develop Genus Law into a full service, modern corporate law firm.”
