Appointments: KPMG, Santander Corporate & Commercial, Grimsby Institute

THE Leeds office of KPMG has seen corporate financier Giles Taylor promoted to partner level.

Mr Taylor will become corporate finance and enterprise partner, and will also pick up as head of property and construction across

He has acted on the separate sales of two contractors, Redhall Engineering Solutions and Motherwell Bridge both to Cape plc, advising Elysian on its acquisition of specialist plant hire business, Access Hire as well as supporting major independent housebuilder, Strata Group.

DANNY ODDY has been appointed as Santander UK’s area director for West Yorkshire.

He is joining a team of 16, which includes a range of specialities from real estate and healthcare to education and trade finance.

THE Grimsby Institute has appointed Mat Thompson as senior trainer consultant.

Mr Thompson is a food industry professional who has worked on projects for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation to support policy development in Pakistan, India and across Africa.

He will ensure that the Institute’s training meets the “evolving needs” of employers.
