Appointments: PwC, South Yorkshire International Trade Centre, Grant Thornton

THREE equity partners are joining PwC’s Yorkshire practice, following the announcement that they will be making the move to Central Square next year.
Karen Finlayson and Dan Burke have been promoted from director level, whilst third partner Ian Plunkett joins the Yorkshire practice from PwC in Abu Dhabi.
He has worked for private, government and listed clients in his 25 years in the industry, and returns to Yorkshire where he spent the first 13 years of his career.
Ms Finlayson has been with the audit practice at PwC for 18 years and is the regional leader for internal audit and health across the North.
Mr Burke has a background in PwC’s government and public sector teams and will work to support healthcare clients across the North.

THE South Yorkshire International Trade Centre has appointed Mark Rowbotham, a former HM Customs and Excise officer as a consultant.
Mr Rowbotham has also worked as a customs analyst in the international logistics sector, before establishing his own customs consultancy, Portcullis ISC.
He will advise business on customs compliance, planning, excise duties, VAT and import/export licences.
Nick Patrick, head of International Trade at SYITC, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mark to the SYITC team and are sure he will be a welcome addition for anyone with customs issues or questions arising when they use the customs help line – or find and explain the answers difficult to understand.”

A TRIO of appointments have been made at Grant Thornton’s Sheffield office.
The wealth advisory team has been boosted after Joe Wareham, Greg Clarke and Elliot Barron joined.
Mr Wareham recently gained a Business Economic degree from Missouri Valley College, USA. The other recruits are part of the graduate trainee programme and will be based in Grant Thornton’s Sheffield office for a 12 month placement.
