Creative agency goes global in search of faster growth

A £12m-turnover creative agency is going global in its hunt for growth after opening three offices in the last months.
Intermarketing Agency, based in Headingley, Leeds, has launched bases in London, Amsterdam and Sydney, months after completing the acquisition of Teabag Digital in January.
The agency has already achieved 20% growth in underlying profit for the last three years and this year is accelerating its expansion.
Intermarketing Agency group managing partners, Jamie Allan and Steve Sowden, said: “Our clients are increasingly seeking opportunities to roll out campaigns in a global market and we’re making it happen, wherever they and their customers are.”
Its new London and Amsterdam offices will support existing client growth in the UK and across Europe while it hopes it will also open up new opportunities and increase its internal talent pool.
In Sydney, Intermarketing is looking to use its retail expertise to fill a gap it believes exists in the agency landscape there.
Mr Sowden added: “The time has never been better to launch into the Australian market, as the company experiences an ever-increasing interest from the Oceania region. The Australian market is an exciting place to be right now as many businesses are looking for an all-encompassing service and fresh ideas.
“This is a great chance for us to share our experience and know-how in the European retail sector to add value to Australian retailers.”
