Appointments: Naylor Wintersgill, Barnsley College, Ponderosa

BRADFORD chartered accountants, Naylor Wintersgill have hired Lee Freeman as head of business development.

Mr Freeman has more than 15 years’ experience in corporate and consultative sales.

He has been appointed as part of Naylor Wintersgill’s three-year plan to create and target new business opportunities.

Managing partner, Vicky Wainwright said “We are delighted that a person with Lee’s experience and enthusiasm has joined the company.

“We have taken our time to recruit a highly skilled Head of Business Development who not only has a proven track record, but also has the drive, desire and determination to succeed. He will be a great asset to the firm.”

TWO new members of the board of Barnsley College have been announced.

Paul Jagger MBE is taking up the place of vice chairman whilst Ben Mansfield, chief executive of Barnsley Football Club has joined the board of governors.

Mr Jagger is chairman of the consultative council of UCAS, and recently became a member of the Association of Colleges’ regional board. He is also president of Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.

Christopher Webb, chief executive and principal of Barnsley College, stated: “I am very pleased to welcome two outstanding individuals to the board of Governors in Paul and Ben.

“Their backgrounds and skill sets complement those of our existing board members who are all fully committed to supporting the senior management team and taking the college forward to the next level.”
