100 jobs created by fintech business expansion

A FINTECH company is set create 100 jobs as it looks to triple its size in the coming year.

Insurance comparison website beprotectedinsurance.com is recruiting for its customer services, sales and digital marketing divisions.

The fintech industry is worth an estimated £20bn annually across the country according to the UKTI, with Leeds City Region in prime position to take advantage of the surge.

Alistair Moncrieff, chief executive of beprotectedinsurance.com said: “Our research tells us that consumers find buying insurance unnecessarily complex and they often feel they aren’t getting the right deal.
