Appointments: BWC; Cushman & Wakefield; Vantage Motor Group

PETER SCRIVEN has been made partner at insolvency and recovery specialists BWC.
Mr Scriven has been with BWC since inception in 2004 and worked alongside partners Gary Blackburn and Paul Whitwam in establishing the firm’s Leeds office.
Originally from an engineering and sales background, Mr Scriven has assisted numerous businesses and individuals facing financial difficulties across Yorkshire and the North of England.
Mr Whitwam said: “I am delighted to be able to announce this well-deserved promotion which reflects Pete’s excellent contribution to the firm’s success over the past 12 years.”

THE valuation and advisory team at Cushman & Wakefield has welcomed Matt Turner as surveyor.
Mr Turner previously worked at Sanderson Weatherall in its valuation department and has experience in both commercial and residential valuations – specifically from within the secured lending sector.

HARROGATE-based Vantage Motor Group has appointed John Barnes as market area general manager for West Yorkshire.
The role has been created following Vantage’s recent acquisition of three dealerships in Leeds and Wakefield which increased its portfolio to 25 sites.
Mr Barnes has worked with the Toyota and Lexus brands for the last two-and-a-half years, formerly looking after dealerships in Cumbria and the Scottish Borders. He also brings 27 years of motor industry experience.
He will be responsible for growing business across Vantage’s new dealerships in West Yorkshire – Toyota Wakefield, Toyota Leeds and Lexus Leeds – which were all acquired from Lookers in late December.
