Top 60 law firm reveals record results

TOP 60 law firm Freeths, which has offices in Leeds and Sheffield, has revealed record figures.
Freeths has posted an annual income of £63.8m – a 14.37% increase from 2015. This is another double digit year of growth for Freeths, which posted a 12% turnover increase last year on 2014.
In 2015, the Nottingham-headquartered firm has been involved in a number of deals including an MBO at bike business Zyro , the acquisition of Kindercare , and the acquisition of 130 year-old knife manufacturer Arkote by a blade manufacturer.
Freeths has 11 offices across the UK, and has seen staff numbers increase from 683 in 2015 to a current total of 742 across an 11-strong national network of offices.
The firm announced last year that it was targeting a turnover of £100m by 2020, aided by mergers. It last completed a merger with Oxford-based Henmans in 2014.
The firm said: “The news of our financial achievements, locally and nationally, is testament to the hard work of our staff.
“We recognise that these successful financial results were only achieved by all members of staff putting in a great deal of hard work and commitment over the past 12 months.”
All staff have been given a 6.65% bonus payment in May.
