Appointments: Law firm appoints head of employment division; Agency hires senior project manager; and more

LEGATUS LAW, which has offices in Leeds and London, has appointed Sarah Turner to the position of head of employment.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the legal sector and having worked in London, Manchester and Leeds, Ms Turner will be responsible for advising businesses and private individuals on all aspects of employment law from drafting contracts of employment and service agreements to work based disputes and employment tribunals.

Natalie Gill VistaCREATIVE communications consultancy and event specialists Vista has appointed Natalie Gill to its client services team.

She joins the Leeds and London-based agency as a senior project manager based at the Leeds site.

A graduate in marketing and management from Newcastle University, Ms Gill’s previous roles include senior client manager at Words&Pictures. Her role saw her managing a wide variety of internal communications projects and multi-channel campaigns to engage and inspire colleagues in large organisations.

Prior to that she enjoyed five years at Publicis Blueprint where she was an account manager at the Asda media centre.

Ms Gill has enjoyed career success delivering communications projects and shopper marketing for a number of globally respected brands including Asda, Virgin Atlantic, Unilever, P&G, Boots and easyJet.

Joining the client services team at Vista, she will deliver campaigns for brands including Lloyds Banking Group, Lex Autolease and Scottish Widows.

Helen Hargreaves Calbee UKCALBEE UK, the first European subsidiary of the £1.2bn Japanese savoury snacking manufacturer Calbee Inc, has strengthened its team with the appointment of Helen Hargreaves as head of innovation.  

With more than 15 years’ experience in new product development at a leading international manufacturer of fresh prepared foods, Ms Hargreaves will support Calbee UK in its bid to be recognised as one of the UK’s leading savoury snack suppliers.  

Marketing director for Calbee UK, David Wilson, said: “We are pleased to welcome Helen to the Calbee UK team. This year we will be working on new products and ingredients that we are sure will add further excitement to the snacking category. We know that with Helen’s experience and passion she will be a great asset to the business.”

Leeds-based Calbee UK officially opened its £6.5m factory in Deeside, North Wales in June 2015. The company’s first brand, Yushoi Snapea rice sticks, was then launched with the help of Louis Smith MBE, the Olympic gymnast and winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2012.  

The snacks, which are made using green peas and are an alternative to fried potato crisps, can be found in Tesco, Morrisons, Selfridges, Whole Foods Market, The Co-operative Food and online with Ocado and Amazon.
