Appointments: Law firms boosts family team; Lawyer promoted to head of residential property; and more

COMMERCIAL law firm Lupton Fawcett Denison Till, which has offices in Sheffield, Leeds and York, has strengthened its family team with the appointment of senior solicitor Gary Crothers.
Mr Crothers, who will be based in the Sheffield office, has more than six years experience working in the field of family law and specialises in divorce, financial settlements, children issues and cohabitation and property disputes between unmarried couples.
Mr Crothers said: “I’m thrilled to join and become part of the Lupton Fawcett team. The calibre of their clients, the full provision of services they offer and their reputation in the market were my key deciding factors. hlw Keeble Hawson has appointed a marketing manager.
Simon Gorman’s expertise across the past 15 years includes key posts with Sheffield Newspapers and education recruiter Synabor, where his role included devising UK and overseas marketing programmes, business development and organising events.

BERWINS Solicitors, which has offices in Leeds and Harrogate, has promoted Jo Randall to head up its residential property team following a strong first half of the year.
Ms Randall, a former partner with Rollits, joined the firm in January from Langleys Solicitors in York and has extensive experience acting for developers and investors, as well as Housing Associations.
Marketing director Carolynn Peace, who previously managed the residential team, said Jo’s experience had been an asset to the department during a busy time.
“We are really fortunate to have had the benefit of Jo’s experience over the past few months and her expertise means we are well placed to continue with our expansion plans.
