Property consultancy snaps up surveying practice

A SHEFFIELD surveying practice has been snapped up by Lambert Smith Hampton.

Lawrence Tattersall, a specialist in building consultancy, business rates and landlord and tenant advice which can trace its roots back to 1950, has been acquired by the property consultancy.

The acquisition will see managing director Paul Taylor and senior surveyor Dianne Green, along with support staff, join the Sheffield office of LSH.

Mr Taylor’s fellow director, Andy Hart will retire.

Adrian Lunn, Head of LSH’s Sheffield office, said: “LSH is one of just a handful of national commercial property consultancies with a footprint in Sheffield and the acquisition of Lawrence Tattersall will further enhance our already strong presence in the South Yorkshire market.

“Not only will it benefit our existing clients by opening up new opportunities for us to offer a greater range of expertise in both core and niche areas, it will undoubtedly be a huge asset in building on our recent successes in securing new business and we look forward to welcoming Paul and his team on board later in the year.”

Mr Taylor commented: “This acquisition will enable us to offer a greater range of services to our existing clients and I very much look forward to working with LSH to achieve our objective of ensuring a successful transition.”

LSH relocated from Fountain Precinct to the Heart of the City in May 2016. The consultancy has advised on major deals in the region including the sale of Ventana House and the development of the Olympic Legacy Park in Sheffield.
