Broadband service for Pindar

PRINT company Pindar has become the first private sector company in England to benefit from a UK broadband initiative.
The firm is to take advantage of the high-speed broadband connection offered by NYnet at the Scarborough Business Park.
NYnet is a collaboration between North Yorkshire County Council and regional development agency Yorkshire Forward to introduce high speed broadband to North Yorkshire – an area that had previously suffered from a lack of internet access.
Pindar has seized the opportunity to access a super-fast internet link at its Eastfield site at the Scarborough Business Park.
NYnet has partnered with internet service provider Save9 to provide the high-speed fibre broadband connection.
Alan Dudley, IT manager at Pindar, said: “We are delighted with the service NYnet are able to offer us on the Scarborough Business Park.
“Our business relies heavily on 24/7 uninterrupted remote access for all our customers and we’re now able to guarantee this through the NYnet infrastructure.
“The high-speed fibre connectivity is advanced in its technology and we are delighted to be able to utilise it in North Yorkshire, an area previously overlooked in terms of digital inclusion.”
NYnet was backed by the European Union.
The NYnet broadband is available to all businesses at the Eastfield and new Scarborough Business Park.
