Jobs and investment at Pulman Steel

STEEL supplier Pulman Steel is investing £250,000 in new equipment and taking on four new staff.

The company has bought a plasma cutting maching and high level racking as well as an eight tonne fork lift truck.

All four new jobs will be in the company’s growing processing centre providing a cut-to-length and profiling service.

David Shoesmith, managing director of Pulman Steel, said: “Although 2009 was a challenging year, 2010 has seen steel prices recover and our customer base expand due to our continued hard work, but we are aware from our long history that the sector can be volatile.
