Polish business leader seminar is a first
THE Northern Leadership Academy (NLA) and Hull University Business school are to host a special seminar aimed at Polish business leaders.
The free event, which takes place today, will offer tips on how to network and market services to relevant British businesses.
It is hoped that a new network of Polish business people will be set up following the event to help identify useful topics for future discussion.
Bridget Freer of Hull University Business School said: “We decided to run this event following feedback from local SMEs.
“It was felt that there is a growing community of Polish business people in Hull and that an event like this will help support them and allow them to grow their businesses even further.”
Prof Richard Thorpe, executive director of NLA, said: “This event looks at a range of networking and marketing issues from a Polish business person’s perspective.
“It will cover how to identify and network with the right potential partners and clients and how to effectively market products and services to British businesses. It will also look at overcoming language and cultural barriers to business.”
