York woman launches racey little number

A YORK woman has decided to celebrate her love of fast cars by giving others the opportunity to share in her passion.

Classic car enthusiast Niki Garnett-White has recently turned her hobby into her job with the launch of her new company Classic Car Hire Yorkshire.

Ms Garnett-White’s enviable collection of British, European and American cars includes a Corvette Stingray, a Triumph TR6, a Porsche 928 and an Alpha Romeo Spyder – all of which are available for self-drive hire.

Since starting the business less than a month ago the car fanatic has already received a flood of enquiries from drivers keen to experience the thrill of driving a classic sports car.

The firm can deliver cars directly to homes or hotels and also offers customers advice on where to stay and visit throughout North Yorkshire.

“Many of our bookings are from visitors to our area who want to tour the beautiful Yorkshire countryside in an equally beautiful car,” she said.

“Couples are also booking sports cars as wedding day transport for the groom and best man – there’s no reason why they shouldn’t arrive in style as well as the bride.”

Ms Garnett-White said bookings had also been taken from people who were considering buying a classic car but wanted to try one out first.

“It gives me great pleasure to allow people the chance to fulfil the dream of driving their own classic sports car, even if it’s just for a day,” she adds.

“And for those who want style but not necessarily speed, I also have a gorgeous Bentley Eight or even a Morris Minor convertible for the complete Heartbeat experience!”
