Squadron snapped up by DCC Healthcare
DCC Healthcare has bought Squadron – the Chesterfield-based
medical supplies firm – in a £11.5m deal.
Jim Flavin, executive chairman of the Irish London Stock Exchange
listed firm, said that the acquisition expanded the presence of its
healthcare operation in the UK.
Squadron procures and supplies medical and surgical products on a
“just in time” basis for use within hospitals. In its
latest financial year ended August 30, the company had sales of
£26.5m.
“Squadron will work closely with DCC's subsidiary Fannin,
a leader in hospital supplies in Ireland, to accelerate the
development of DCC Healthcare's business in the hospital supply
sector in Britain,” said Mr Flavin.
