Lifestyle: A gift idea for the person who has everything

ARE you faced with the near impossible challenge of trying to find a Christmas present for the man or woman who has everything?

Yorkshire-based Freedom Clinics, which already has a growing reputation has invested more than £60,000 in the latest technology offering laser hair removal as part of its growing list of health and skincare related services.

The company, based on King Street in Leeds city centre and founded by entrepreneurs Andrew Thirkill and David Hood, has introduced the new service to meet the growing demand from both women and men for unwanted hair removal.

And Freedom chief executive Diane McKerracher says its gift packages make great presents for men or women.

“Laser hair removal is very quick and painless compared to waxing. We are seeing more guys coming in for treatments which include hair removal from their back, shoulders, chest or just shaping their beard line.

“We offer a professional and discreet service and clients feel very comfortable in the environment we have created in the clinic.”

Initial consultations are free with treatments starting from £38 for one session to treat a small area like the upper lip or centre brow.

It usually takes up to six treatments at six week intervals to permanently remove the hair.

Gift vouchers offering 20% off a package of six treatments are priced at £645 for laser treatment to the back or chest or £1,850 for the whole body.

Clinic manager and lead aesthetic therapist Hayleyanne Murphy, said: “Although many associate laser treatment with the removal of unwanted hair on women, we are now treating a greater number of men who are looking for a smooth look.

“Large areas of hair on the chest and back can be removed painlessly over a few sessions. Patients think this is fantastic, especially as they can avoid having to go through the absolute agony and excruciating pain of waxing!

“The new treatment is also so much faster and far more effective than the older Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology, which can also hurt. This means clients can just pop in for a quick treatment, especially as we are so conveniently located with flexible opening hours.”
