Yorkshire restaurants shortlisted in Hi-Life awards

THE Crab & Lobster has been shortlisted for the best overall restaurant title in the Hi-Life dining awards.

The North Yorkshire restaurant will be competing with The Walled Garden (Preston), Chaophraya (Liverpool), Grenache (Manchester) and The French (Manchester).

Nominees for the Best Yorkshire and North East category include Sam’s Chophouse in Leeds, The Clocktower at Rudding Park, The Devonshire Fell and Aagrah in Leeds.

Van Zeller, in Harrogate, is nominated in the best newcomer category with Tom van Zeller also hoping to pick up the best chef award.

Lisa Lund, commercial director of Hi-Life said: “The calibre of entries this year has been exceptionally high, with a number of new business members of Hi-Life taking part, which is great to see.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the entrants for taking part and wish all the finalists the very best of luck for the big night.”

The awards will be presented in January at a ceremony in Manchester.
