Job seeking senior executives get confidence boost

A SERIES of seminars aimed at helping unemployed senior executives get back into work are to be hosted in Yorkshire.
The initiative, which is the brainchild of Leeds-based executive recruitment firm The Corpex Group, is thought to be the first of its kind in the UK and is aimed at assisting senior management personnel back into work.
The first two seminars will be held on April 16 at the Novotel in Leeds, the third and fourth in Birmingham at the NEC, and the final four in London on May 5 and 6 at the IoD on Pall Mall.
Guy Newton of Corpex said that the seminars would seek to assist individuals who might have found themselves unemployed possibly for the first time in their lives.
“We will look in detail at a number of areas including how they present themselves both on paper through a CV and at interview stage and seek to restore confidence at what can be a very professionally and personally stressful time of their lives,” he said.
“Anyone losing their job during this recession is a tragedy but high earners have little in the way of targeted resources to draw upon and these seminars and workshops will seek to tackle that.”
