Office plan as Grontmij wins contract

GRONTMIJ is to open a new office in the North-East as it advises Northumbrian Water, alongisde a number of other companies, on a £1.5bn investment programme.

Leeds-based Grontmij will work alongside three other consultants advising on the investment programme in a framework agreement worth between £2m and £4m a year over the next decade.

Leeds-based Turner & Townsend and civil engineer JN Bentley are among 19 companies named as preferred contractors for the utility’s 10 year scheme to improve drining water and sewerage networks in the North East, Essex and Suffolk.

Grontmij will provide feasibility, design and commissioning support subject to appointment to individual projects covered by the framework agreement.
