‘Ad’ men reunited following merger

YORKSHIRE marketing agencies The Whole Caboodle and pgk Advertising have merged reuniting seasoned ‘ad’ men Chris MacKenzie and Karl Rahmani.

The newly merged agency will be based in pgk’s Harrogate offices but will retain The Whole Caboodle’s name.

As a result of the merger the agency’s resources have been signifcantly strengthened enabling it to offer a range of services including advertising, design, PR, event management, media planning and buying, new media and recruitment services.

Mr MacKenzie said: “The merger was born out of desire rather than necessity. However, it is a benefit to achieve critical mass in this difficult economic climate.

“All staff have been retained and we are now looking to recruit a further four members of staff, taking the total staff count to 40. Karl and I have worked particularly well together in the past and are looking forward to this new venture enormously.”

Mr Rahmani added that he and Mr MacKenzie’s skills sets would be utilised to benefit the agency as a whole.

The pair, who will be joint managing directors, previously worked together some 15 years ago before pursuing separate ventures.
