Multimillion health park announced for Scarborough

ASHLEY House, the health care building contractor, announced another strong set of results today boosted by the successful completion of six building projects and confirmation of a new build in Scarborough.
In July, Ashley House confirmed it had been given full planning permission for a £25m health park in Scarborough, adding to its existing portfolio of health care projects in the town.
The major scheme will see the construction of a 1,900sq metre primary care centre, an elective care centre, a 93 bed care home for the elderly and 14 sheltered apartment units.
The scheme is estimated to have a gross development value of £25m and
will be undertaken in a joint venture with a third party.
Sir William Wells, chairman of Ashley House, said that the company's involvement in NHS LIFT, Health Parks and Clinical Services would reflect materially on the comany's revenue and profit in the year to April 2009.
The company announced today that profit before tax and exceptions items was up 22% to £1.77m for the six months ended October 31 compared to £1.45m for the same period the year before.Total dividend is up 15% to 2.3p compared to 2p.
