Q-Park completes capital deal

YORKSHIRE parking company Q-Park has completed a deal to take over 14 car parks in London and will undertake an extensive £10m refurbishment programme on the sites.
Q-Park has been granted a 25 year lease on the car parks by Westminster City Council, after facing competition from UK and international rivals.
Leeds-based Q-Park was advised on the deal by law firm DWF.
Q-Park completed the transaction after offering opportunities to improve safety and to enhance the quality of public space.
The 14 car parks will provide 4,200 car parking spaces and 900 motorcycle bays serving multiple customer groups with different business, residential, retail and leisure needs.
Q-Park took over operation of the car parks yesterday.
Nic Crocker, national head of real estate at DWF, said: “Our teams are proud to have worked with Q-Park over the last 10 years and we are pleased to have supported our client in the delivery of this exciting project.
“This deal has reinforced Q-Park’s position as the leading high quality brand in car parking within the UK and Europe.”
