City offices let to NSPCC

FIFTH floor offices in Leeds city centre have been let to national children’s charity the NSPCC.

Forty NSPCC staff are moving into 7,850 sq ft offices at St John’s Offices on Albion Street this spring following a deal handled by the Leeds office of King Sturge and DTZ acting for London-based fund managers Hermes Real Estate Investment.

The NSPCC’s Yorkshire and Humber regional centre will be the administrative base for various divisions within the charity and is relocating from offices at The Arndale Centre in Crossgates, which will close.

NSPCC regional head of service for Yorkshire and the Humber, Gordon Ratcliffe, said: “The new regional centre will position us in an accessible and central location from which we will be able to support our child protection teams across the region, share learning and best practice with professionals, bring us closer to our key stakeholders and supporters, enable us to increase our capacity to influence, and provide us with space for potential growth in future.”

Head of the King Sturge office agency team, partner Richard Thornton, said: “The NSPCC has taken advantage of the exceptional market conditions and gained tremendous value in one of the biggest office lettings in Leeds during the last 12 months.”

The Leeds office of Savills acted for the NSPCC.
