Appointments: Atteys CEO role for Glover; Barclays Corporate hires; and more

ATTEYS Solicitors has appointed Charles Glover as chief executive.

The former managing director of Sheffield-based marketing agency DigForFireDMG has joined the South Yorkshire legal firm, which has five offices, as a non lawyer chief executive.

The Legal Services Act allows lawyers and non-lawyers to share the management and control of a business providing legal services

Mr Glover has more than 20 years experience owning and running businesses, including marketing agency Paradigm which he merged with Scope Creative Marketing in 2003 to create DigForFire, which was sold to the AIM-listed Digital Marketing Group in 2006.

He will help Atteys to realise the opportunities presented by the Legal Services Act by helping it develop a range of innovative legal services and products that meet changing consumer and business demands.

“Charles is the ideal appointment to this role, following a rigorous recruitment process designed to help Atteys develop and expand its offer to clients in light of the Legal Services Act,” said Gill Knight, Atteys partner and head of personal injury.

“It is critical that the legal profession widens its approach and harnesses the best talent if it is to secure a profitable future. Charles has great financial acumen and a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges that the legal sector faces.”
