Dawson sells textile division
TEXTILE firm Dawson International, 29% controlled by Yorkshire textile company Leeds Group, is selling its Todd & Duncan textile business.
Key supplier Zhongyin Cashmere Comapny, based in China, is buying Todd & Duncan.
Scotland-based Todd & Duncan is being sold for an initial sum of £6.15m, with any excess satisfied by offsetting future payments to Zhongyin.
Todd & Duncan is a manufacturer of high quality cashmere, blended and woollen yarns.
It sources the majority of its raw material from China and exports around 60% of its product to the European market. Zhongyin is a major supplier of cashmere fibre to Todd & Duncan.
