Wild deal for travel firm

DAVID Palmer Travel, the luxury coach hire business, has been appointed as preferred travel provider for the Wakefield Wildcats Rugby League first team, academy and reserves.

As the only approved travel provider for the teams, David Palmer is now solely responsible for all transport to away games and corporate events throughout the country.

Marketing manager for the Wildcats James Elston said: “Transport is a crucial part of what we do and having to travel the country we want to be comfortable and also to trust the provider we use.

“David Palmer offered everything we needed and more, so was an obvious choice.”

Andrew Palmer, managing director of family-owned David Palmer Travel, said: “This agreement just goes to show that we work with businesses of all sizes and across all sectors.

“As the preferred travel provider for the Wildcats we can reassure the team that they will be transported in a luxury vehicle, giving the impression that they deserve.”

The agreement will also see banner advertising for David Palmer at the stadium, the company’s logo on the player’s shirts and details of the business on the Wildcats website.

David Palmer, now in its third generation, employs 22 people within its coach business and MOT, service and repair centre.
