Rix depot investment safeguards jobs

RIX Petroleum has invested £750,000 in a new depot as it looks to expand.
The Hull firm’s new facility safeguards 16 existing jobs in Norfolk and will create more as it becomes fully operational.
Rix had considered closing its Attleborough operation as it struggled to find a location for the facility.
Director Tim Rix said: “This is a significant investment on Rix’s part and it secures the future of the company in Attleborough and East Anglia generally. As a result, we will be looking to create four or five new jobs over the coming months.”
The new 300,000 litre fuel storage depot was opened by former Norwich City goalkeeper Bryan Gunn.
He said: “East Anglia needs great businesses like Rix Petroleum to invest in its people and drive its economy forward, particularly after the last few years of economic turbulence.
“I wish the business every success in its new home.”
