Financial recruitment specialist opens in Yorkshire

ACCOUNTANCY recruitment group WH Marks Sattin has expanded its UK operations with the opening of an office in Yorkshire.
The firm has bucked the industry trend and opened an office in Leeds as it looks to take a share of the Yorkshire market.
WH Marks Sattin, which has 30 years experience in the industry, is part of the international FiveTen Group which employs 570 people across 12 countries of which 11% are graduates from university in Leeds.
The new office will be managed by Javed Bobat who has lived and worked in the region all his life.
Dave Way, WH Marks Sattin’s managing director, said: “The Yorkshire market has been a long standing target for us. It’s clearly a vibrant economic area and continues to attract some outstanding organisations, from start-ups to household names.
“The financial recruitment market is a good barometer for the economy generally. It is showing strong signs of picking-up across the board and we’re entering investment mode once again. Clients have been telling us for some time that we should be in Leeds. We are now giving the region a big vote of confidence.”
Mr Bobat added that he believes that one of the key success factors is the strength of the supply-side of the equation.
“Crucially, for a business like ours, the calibre of candidates working in the region is very high and we have a rich pool of talent across the private and public sectors.
“And with the support and resources of such a strong brand behind us, we are really hitting the ground running.”
