Food engineering firm goes into administration

HALIFAX-based engineering firm Hiley Engineering has gone into administration with the loss of 24 jobs.
The firm, which specialises in conveyor systems and components for biscuit and bakery manufacturers, blamed cash flow difficulties as a result of challenging trading conditions and ever increasing competition on its failure.
Graham Wild, partner at appointed administrators Zolfo Cooper, said: “Regrettably we had to make all 24 employees redundant with immediate effect.
“We would urge any party, which may be interested in buying the business to make contact as soon as possible.”
