GS Hydro combines operations in Silkwood move

GS Hydro, a supplier of non-welded piping for hydraulic applications, has relocated its Yorkshire operations.
The company has taken a 11,605 sq ft light industrial unit at Silkwood Park in Wakefield to combine its Rotherham and Leeds operations.
Steve Lund, branch manager for GS Hydro, said: “The key factor for us in selecting Silkwood Park was its location. From our new facility we can serve our customer base across Yorkshire with easy access to the M1 and M62 motorways.”
The unit has been let to GS Hydro on a 10 year term at a headline rent equating to £5.25 sq ft by industrial property specialists Gent Visick, acting on behalf of St James Group.
Richard Gee, for St James Group, said: “This was the last remaining void unit on the estate and the 100% occupancy clearly demonstrates the popularity of this development.”
The industrial estate is already home to Days Hotel, Bezier, Severn Trent Laboratories and the recently completed Driving Standards Agency test facility.
Nick Prescott of Gent Visick added: “This letting now means that the existing units are fully occupied, however we are able to offer bespoke design and build solutions from 20,000 to 80,000 sq ft to industrial/warehouse occupiers on a leasehold or freehold basis on the remaining 18 acres of consented land.”
