Richardson in as chairman at Cartridge World

CARTRIDGE World, the retailer of refilled and remanufactured printer cartridges, has hired John Richardson as chairman.

Mr Richardson joins the Harrogate-based company following the retirement of Peter Hawkins.

He has had a 30 year career in international business with both the Trafalgar House Group and British American Tobacco where he has held executive leadership roles in finance and general management in Europe, the Ukraine, Pakistan and Dubai.

Mark Holland, UK general manager, said: “With John’s consumer focused multi-market skills he will bring a great deal of knowledge and experience to the business and will be invaluable in leading Cartridge World’s continued growth.”

The appointment follows the company’s multi-million dollar global recapitalisation process completed in April. Cartridge World said the new capital from this will allow it to focus re-investment on new technologies and strategic growth.
