Media Buzz: Trimedia gains Solarwall; Ruby Slippers’ Olympic win; Chapter Eight appoints three

LEEDS-BASED Trimedia North, part of public relations consultancy, Trimedia UK, has been appointed by Yorkshire-based cavity wall and loft insulation specialist, Solarwall, to implement an on-going campaign to promote the work of its renewables division.
Working with managing director, Sue Lamb, who founded the business more than 30 years ago, Trimedia will raise the profile of the £6m company, which employs 100 and serves 100,000 customers throughout the Yorkshire region.
As well as promoting the core product range of cavity wall and loft insulation, Trimedia will put the spotlight on the progressive work of the renewables division and its innovative solar hot water heating systems and air and ground source heat pumps which are efficient ways of providing both central heating and hot water in the home.

SHEFFIELD City Council has re-appointed marketing and communications company Ruby Slippers to handle its ongoing communications activities for the Sheffield’s 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games programme.
Following the successful launch of ‘Sheffield Lighting the Flame – Making the most of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games’ in July 09, Sheffield City Council has committed to ensuring that Sheffield benefits from the opportunities presented by London 2012 over the next three years.
Ruby Slippers, working alongside Sheffield City Council will raise the profile of Sheffield as a world class sporting destination and host to major sporting events as well as making the local community aware of the opportunities that are available to them through volunteering, participation activities and cultural initiatives.

FOLLOWING the appointment of Fiona Cartwright as head of marketing at Chapter Eight, the agency has taken on three additional people to join the team.
Sam Wynzar, Carl Bavis and Michelle Horne join the full service, digital agency following a year that has seen the Leeds-based consultancy double in turnover, profit and staff.
Sam Wynzar takes up the position of copywriter, prior to joining Chapter Eight Sam worked at Leeds Bradford Airport for 12 years where she was the communications officer.
Michelle Horne will manage ePR for Chapter Eight and its clients. She brings with her 14 years of public relations experience spanning public and private sector clients across all industry sectors.
Carl Bavis has taken up the role of marketing assistant during his placement year from Huddersfield University where he is studying Advertising and Marketing Communications.
