Experienced Harrison takes helm at regeneration specialist Gleeson

REGENERATION specialist Gleeson has appointed an experienced figure as the managing director of its Gleeson Regeneration & Homes division.
Former Shepherd Homes MD Jolyon Harrison has become managing director of the division which is based in Lancashire and Yorkshire.
The 61-year-old has been involved in the housebuilding industry in the North of England for more than 40 years and succeeds Colin Rossiter, who continues in his other role as managing director of Gleeson Capital Solutions, Gleeson’s business which secures and invests in social housing PFI contracts.
Gleeson Regeneration & Homes is based in Sheffield and Bury and Mr Harrison takes up his new post on November 2.
He bought 1m shares in stock market quoted Gleeson in June representing a 1.9% stake.
He is the former chairman of £133m-turnover Pelham Construction and NorthCountry Homes Group in Chesterfield and before that was MD of York-based Shepherd Homes from 1984 to 1995 and was at Wilcon Homes from 1976 to 1984, latterly as regional director in the North.
Mr Harrison is the chairman of York Housing Association and JDP Rooflines, a County Durham-based company involved in housing regeneration and repair, and a council member of the Home Builders Federation.
